Humanities Iowa

Libraries Together, a group comprised of the four public libraries in Scott County, Iowa, has received a grant award of $3,000 from Humanities Iowa, a state-based affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, in support of the “Scott County Reads Together” initiative happening April 2010.

The grant money will cover a four-day residency of Iowa author, John T. Price. Between April 12 and April 15, look for exciting events featuring the author of Man Killed by Pheasant: And Other Kinships. This memoir will appeal to anyone who is interested in the environment, has ever lived in the Midwest, or has ever been attacked by a pheasant. :)  More information about this residency will be coming soon.
